Mid-week Workday: Northeast Savanna

An old oak dwarfs one of our volunteers.

We had a FANTASTIC volunteer workday at the Sauk Prairie Recreation Area! The weather was ideal for our conservation work in the “Northeast Savanna.” Check out the AMAZING brush pile we made - mainly autumn olive, buckthorn, with some prickly ash, multiflora rose, and sumac. Those thorns certainly added an extra touch of excitement to the day!
